ScoutMe is a marketplace that connects football players, clubs, managers and scouts in Greece. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights over it. For any privacy question, contact us at the email below.
When you create an account we collect your email and phone number (required so our team can verify you), and the profile details you choose to provide — such as your name, role, region, city, date of birth, position, physical attributes, club/agency, licenses, bio, social links, and any profile or cover image you upload.
We process your data to operate the service — to verify accounts, show your profile to other members in the relevant market, let clubs post openings, record interest, and announce completed transfers. This is based on the performance of our agreement with you and our legitimate interest in running a trustworthy marketplace.
Your approved profile is visible to other signed-in, approved members (players, clubs, managers and scouts). When you press “Request” or “I’m interested”, that interest is shared only with ScoutMe administrators, who may then contact you or the other party directly to broker an introduction. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
Account and profile data is stored with Supabase (PostgreSQL, EU region — Frankfurt) protected by row-level security. Images are stored with Cloudflare R2. The site is hosted on Vercel.
We only use essential cookies: a secure session cookie that keeps you signed in, and an admin cookie used to protect the admin area. We also store your cookie choice in your browser. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Edit profile → Danger zone → Delete account, or by contacting us.
Under the GDPR you can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and object to or restrict its processing. You can edit most details yourself from your profile, or contact us to exercise any of these rights or to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.
